Thomas Rogers

Online History Tutor

Professional info

I was educated at Saint Anselms college in Birkenhead and then went on to study a BA in History at Bangor university. I decided to embark on teaching after spending an inspiring 6 months in Tanzania, teaching in an orphanage and amongst street children. In September 2007, I began my teacher training at Aberystwyth university. I completed the course after two placements at two challenging comprehensive schools.

My career 2008 - Present

In 2008, I started my full time teaching career at a mixed comprehensive school in North Wales. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and have been fortunate to advance my career. In 2010, I took up the role of coordinator of the schools skills curriculum. That same year, I began my iNet developing leaders qualification (see certificate on the right) and completed the course after two years in Summer 2012. In September 2012, I also took up the temporary position of literacy coordinator.

Despite these career developments, my passion remains teaching and learning. I look forward to sharing this passion in my online tutor sessions.
