TRADITIONAL GAMES DAY

To counteract this trend, KS1 year 1 and year 2

students, parents and teachers celebrated the first edition of the "Traditional Game Day", an activity that had the representation of the different cultures presented in our educational community, which was extremely fun and enriching for all. Among the traditional games played we find “brilé”, rubber band, “escondite inglés” or “sangre” among others.

"Brilé" –You start by separating the people into two teams. The game consists in trying to eliminate all the people of the other team by hitting them with the ball.

Rubber Band –You have to jump from one side to another side of the rubber band.

"Escondite inglés" –Someone turns his back and sings a song while the others run towards him. When the song ends, the people running have to stand still and try not to move. If the one singing calls out a player who has moved, they have to start again.

"Sangre" – Everyone needs a code name of a place (country, city… etc.). A player starts with the ball and “declares war” on another player. What he then needs to do is throw the ball high up in the air. The country named must catch the ball while the others run, and shout `sangre!´ immediately after catching it. The rest of the players have to freeze, and the one with the ball must throw the ball at one of the frozen players (normally the ones most near him). If the players get hit by the ball, they add a letter of the word blood and memorize it. The game goes on until all the players but one spell the word blood.
